The TSX Welcomes Its Latest Marijuana Stock

MedReleaf is the latest marijuana stock to make it into the Toronto Stock Exchange. The company joined three ACMPR producers on the TSX — Canopy Growth Corp., Aphria, and CanniMed Therapeutics. Due to the current sell-off in a fair share of LPs, we’ll be viewing LEAF shares very diligently.

MedReleaf is a licensed producer of the Ontario-based Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR). Health Canada in February of 2014 initially accredited MedReleaf and has two licensed websites.

The initial site has licenses to produce and market cannabis oils, and dried cannabis. The second site possesses a production license, which was granted to the company in April of this year.

In early trading Wednesday, LEAF is at $7.20 CAD — a decrease of nearly 25% from the IPO value. We will keep an eye on these shares through the remainder of today.
