If you’ve been involved in the market in the past few years, you’ve undoubtedly heard of the new trading platform, the Robinhood app. If you haven’t, you’re in luck, because this article is going to explain why it isn’t just for millennials.
The Robinhood app is an absolutely free trading platform. As opposed to popular platforms such as TD Ameritrade and Fidelity, Robinhood offers you the opportunity to trade stocks without those incredibly-detrimental commission fees. Sure, the platform ultimately disallows you from trading options or futures. However, if you’re just starting out with trading stocks, why not use something that won’t drain your wallet?
For many retirees, investing is one of the next step they’d like to take in their lives. Most people reading this will have a full 401K or an IRA. You’re set with those. So why not take some of your own money and put it into companies that you believe in? Time to have some fun!
This investor — contrary to the advice of many respected people — just bought many shares of Snapchat. And where did I do it you ask? Yup. You guessed it, on the Robinhood app. I’m never going to be able to be confident with diagonal calendar spreads or iron condorst — it’s too much like gambling. I want to invest, but I want to be certain that I believe in what I’m investing in. The Robinhood app allows me to do this seamlessly from my smart phone. Now, instead of going on Facebook, I can make my money work for me with Robinhood.
If technology provides us the lavish lifestyle we’re all seeking, then Robinhood is the leader. We can certainly utilize this app and reap the benefits of what it has to offer. If you’re looking for simplicity with some fun, I cannot stress this enough: I suggest you use the Robinhood app.
